In parallel, the importance of high-quality marine environmental data has never been greater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Established in 2023, <strong>new Horizon Ocean Research and Technology Co., Ltd. (nHORT)<\/strong> is dedicated to delivering advanced technologies and integrated services in marine research and environmental monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Building on cutting-edge marine robotics developed under Japan\u2019s Cabinet Office Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP)\u2014including Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and the <em>Edokko Mark 1<\/em> seabed observatory\u2014nHORT offers comprehensive solutions that encompass equipment operation, data acquisition, processing, analysis, and visualization. Guided by our mission to \u201cdeliver the required data, at the required depth, in the required area,\u201d we provide scientifically rigorous and highly efficient survey services that support the advancement, safety evaluation, and environmentally responsible development of offshore wind and CCS projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, as a core research partner in the third phase of the SIP program, <strong>\u201cNational Platform for Innovative Ocean Developments,\u201d<\/strong> nHORT is actively engaged in research supporting the commercial application of technologies for extracting, separating, and refining rare earth elements from seabed mud collected in the waters surrounding Minami-Torishima.
